Don't call him 'Mr. Mom:' Single dads fight for acceptance

At times, being a single dad can be a lonely existence.Single moms get a lot of attention, be it media fretting, specialized social services or heroic portrayals in movies.

The reason is simple: There are a heck of a lot more of them. But single fatherhood is likely to become a lot less lonely in the years to come. Although they are the exception right now, there is evidence single fathers are growing in ranks as societal stereotypes about child-rearing soften.
